We support igniting minds through Education and Vocational Training

Save the date: 1 Jan 2019- Opening the smart class

“Ignited minds are the most powerful resource on earth, and the one billion minds of our nation are indeed a great power waiting to be tapped.” – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Ignited minds.

Our Inspiration:

Inspired by these great words and with an intention to arise and ignite minds of our young Indians we plan to provide a smart class to school students in a Government college located near XXXXXX. With the smart class provision at their reach we hope that it will help students think big and dream high so they can reach for the sky.

Our focus:

Smart class

Education isn’t just about studying books rather it is the means to understand one’s rights and the means of the world. It helps us recognize who we are in a world, for that is the only way one survives. The right to choose and make one’s own life decisions is important and one that is deserved by all. Exposure to smart classes will allow a means to think beyond the horizon before you. Freedom of expression that be channelized well when education provides a strong platform

When students are exposed to special techniques of teaching they expand the student’s thoughts and spread nobility in thinking and action. We believe the smart class will be a great value add to achieve the same.

Vocational Training

It is our endeavour to open a vocational training institute dedicated to teaching Tailoring to the under privileged adolescent girls and women as we hope to enable them to be financially independent and self- sufficient. The location for the set up of the institute has been identified in the premises of a private school in the rural village of KR Pet, Mandya district.

We invite your contributions to donate a tailoring machine to support the infrastructure needs of the vocational training institute.

What Is Autism?

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. We now know that there is not one autism but many subtypes, and each person with autism can have unique strengths and challenges. Most are caused by a combination of genetic and environmental influences, and many are accompanied by medical issues such as intestinal issues, seizures and sleep disturbances.

Place chosen for A Walk for Autism

Sometimes the environment can become overwhelming for people with sensory sensitivities. Hence we have chosen the venue of Cabbon Park, Bangalore on 10 Nov 2018 at 7am behind the Acquarium which allows access to a quiet space that can be used as a safe outlet if you or your loved one living with autism becomes overwhelmed.

Volunteers are the backbone of Walk for Autism. These events would not be possible without their dedication and support. We are grateful for their time and talent that helps reduce costs and dedicate more funds to our mission. Walk for Autism volunteers can help in many ways assist in set-up and/or clean-up, greet participants as they arrive or cheer our walkers on at mid-point water stops. You can even recruit your friends, family and coworkers to form a volunteer team!

Volunteer as a Team

Recruit your friends, family and coworkers to form a volunteer team. We’ll do our best to assign you to the same area so you can spend the day together. Please remind each member of your team to register online so that we know how many people to plan for. Include your team name in the available field and we will know you are together.
